New Features in Version 6.9

Version 6.9 Beta 1

  • Batch file procedure calls. Procedure calls are declared using the PROC statement and called using the CALLPROC command.

  • Batch file Dialog Box support. Dialog Boxes allows pop up windows to be created and used from with in a batch file. Dialog Boxes can be designed using the supplied Dialog Editor, see the Dialog Editor help file for more information. The following new commands have been added to support Dialog Boxes :-

    • Dialog Box creation :-

      1. DLGBOX - Create a dialog box.
      2. DLGITEM - Add an item to a dialog box.
      3. DLGSHOW - Display a dialog box.
      4. DLGEND - End a dialog box.
    • List Box manipulation :-

      1. LBADD - Add a string or return the number of strings contained in a list box.
      2. LBINSERT - Insert a string into a list box.
      3. LBDELETE - Delete a string from a list box or clear the contents of a list box.
      4. LBFIND - Search a list box for a string.
      5. LBSET - Set the current selection for a list box.
      6. LBGET - Get the index of the currently selected string in a list box.
      7. LBTEXT - Get a string from a list box.
      8. LBDIR - Add a list of file names to a list box.
    • Combo Box manipulation :-

      1. CBADD - Add a string or return the number of strings contained in the list box of a combo box.
      2. CBINSERT - Insert a string into the list box of a combo box.
      3. CBDELETE - Delete a string from the list box of a combo box or clear the contents of a combo box.
      4. CBFIND - Search the list box of a combo box for a string.
      5. CBSET - Set the current selection for the list box of a combo box.
      6. CBGET - Get the index of the currently selected string in the list box of a combo box.
      7. CBTEXT - Get a string from the list box of a combo box.
      8. CBDIR - Add a list of file names to the list box of a combo box.
    • General Dialog Box item manipulation :-

      1. SETFOCUS - Set the keyboard input focus to the specified dialog box or item.
      2. GETFOCUS - Retrieve the identifier of the dialog box item that has the keyboard input focus.
      3. GETTEXT - Retrieve the caption of a dialog box or the text of a dialog box item.
      4. SETTEXT - Set the caption of a dialog box or the text for a dialog box item.
      5. ENABLE - Enable or disable an item in a dialog box.
      6. ISENABLED - Determine whether an item is enabled or disabled.
      7. CHECK - Set the state of a check box.
      8. RADIO - Set the state of a group of radio buttons.
      9. ISCHECKED - Determine the state of a check box or a radio button.

Version 6.9 Beta 2

  • The 'Terminate batch at line xx?' now reports the line number where the error occurred. In previous versions of the WinOne® Command Prompt the line number indicated the next command to be executed, which is unsatisfactory for dialog boxes.

  • When dialog boxes are active then errors are displayed in a pop up message box, along with the 'Terminate batch at line xx?' question. Press the Yes button to terminate the batch file or press the No button to continue executing the batch file.

  • New DLGENDALL command which can be used to end all dialog boxes.

  • Addition of menus for dialog boxes. menus are added to a dialog box using the DLGMENU command.

  • The following commands have been added to manipulate menu items belonging to a dialog box :-

    1. GREY - Grey or ungrey a menu item in a dialog box.
    2. ISGREYED - Determine whether or not a menu item is greyed.
    3. TICK - Tick or untick a menu item in a dialog box.
    4. ISTICKED - Determine whether or not a menu item is ticked.

  • Added an optional Company field to the Registration dialog box, which is displayed when entering your registration details.
